1. Who we are

A2Key ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at a2key.com and related services that help users compare software, AI tools, SaaS products, digital licenses and deals from third-party merchants and vendors (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal data.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: email address, display name, avatar and authentication identifiers when you sign in (including via Google).
  • Usage data: pages viewed, products compared, offers clicked, deals redeemed, IP address (hashed), user agent and referrer.
  • Content you submit: reviews, ratings, comments, contact form messages, vendor applications and price alerts.

3. How we use your data

  • Operate, maintain and improve the Service.
  • Personalize content, search results and recommendations.
  • Send transactional emails (price alerts, vendor invitations, account notices) and, with consent, marketing emails.
  • Detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse or security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom we process personal data on the following bases: (a) performance of a contract when you create an account or use the Service, (b) legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the Service, (c) consent for marketing emails and non-essential cookies, and (d) legal obligationwhere applicable.

5. Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with: (i) hosting and infrastructure providers, (ii) authentication providers (Supabase, Google), (iii) payment processors (Stripe) when you transact, (iv) email delivery providers, and (v) merchants when you click an affiliate link (only the click context — never your account credentials).

6. International transfers

Our infrastructure may process data in the United States and the European Union. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Port your data to another service.
  • Withdraw consent at any time without affecting past lawful processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA) may additionally request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected and shared, and may opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. A2Key does not sell personal information.

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. With your consent we also use analytics and affiliate-attribution cookies. You can manage consent at any time via the cookie banner.

9. Data retention

We retain account data while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal and operational purposes. Anonymous usage logs may be retained longer in aggregate form.

10. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the Service or by email. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
